A McKeesport infant who was injured last week after police say he was shaken by his father has died.
5-month-old Michael Armstrong died on Sunday afternoon.
That's according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner, who has yet to determine an official cause of death.
However, police have arrested the infant's father, 29-year-old Michael Channing Barber, on charges of aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of a child and recklessly endangering another person.
Medics responded to a call early Wednesday morning in the Harrison Village housing complex, where they found the infant who was not breathing.
He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, where staff found the infant had injuries from being shaken.
Barber has a preliminary hearing scheduled for September 12th.
