There's a new puppet series for young children coming to television next month that was inspired by a character that appeared on "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood."

Pittsburgh PBS station WQED will begin airing the show titled "Donkey Hodie" in May. The main character, Donkey Hodie, is the granddaughter of the original Donkey Hodie from the beloved classic television show.

Episodes are set in the land of "Someplace Else" where Donkey and her friends encourage dream big and overcome obstacles all while having fun along the way.

Plus, the show will feature new versions of some familiar Fred Rogers songs.

Thirteen new episodes will air throughout the month starting with the premiere on May 3.
