You have about two weeks left to hop on the Mon Incline before it is shut down.

Starting August 1, the historic Monongahela Incline will close for four months. An $8.2 million rehab project will modernize the mechanical controls and electrical systems, as well as upgrade the interiors of the upper and lower Mon Incline stations.

PRT spokesperson Adam Brandolph calls the rehab project a makeover of sorts.

"Modernizing, but in a way that reflects what the stations looked like when the inclines were first built. It's an exciting project and it's a big project."

PRT shuttle buses will be used to and from Mt. Washington from Station Square. PRT says the Mon Incline will reopen just in time for Light up Night in November.
