A Charleroi mother faces multiple charges after allegedly hiding the body of her young child in a wall.

Washington County District Attorney Jason Walsh says CYS workers went to the home of 25-year-old Kylie Wilt to locate her one-year-old child.
According to a criminal complaint, Wilt refused to cooperate and claimed the child was in North Carolina. CYS workers then called police to the home in the 700 block of Lookout Ave.
Once police arrived, Wilt allegedly admitted the child died of SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome) in February. She claimed she did not have money for a proper burial, so she placed the body in a crate. During later questioning, Wilt allegedly told police she put the crate in a cubby hole in her bedroom and covered it with drywall and paint.
Police say they later executed a search warrant and found remains where Wilt described.
According to a criminal complaint, a CYS worker was assigned to the family when the child was born with THC in their system. CYS claims Wilt and 27-year-old Alan Hollis, the child's father, were consistently uncooperative.
Wilt is charged with Concealing Death of a Child, Abuse of a Corpse, Obstructing the Administration of Justice, Welfare Fraud and Tampering with Evidence.
Hollis is charged with Obstruction of Justice.
A preliminary hearing date has yet to be set. Police are investigating the child's death.
