Nearly 60 animals rescued from a home in Butler County

Nearly 60 dogs were recently rescued from a home in Butler recently.

State Police say 58 animals, including dogs, cats, snakes, rats, a ferret, a bearded dragon and even a goat were taken from a home in Claire on South Washington Street.

Officials from Child Youth Services also responded after it was discovered multiple children were living in the residence.

All of the animals were taken to the ANNA Shelter in Erie, PA.

The week prior, the shelter took in 14 Saint Bernard dogs making for over 70 in a short span.
