Pittsburgh International has a new parking option for travelers.

The airport announced that a new economy lot is now available - the first new option at the facility in almost 30 years.

The new economy lot has a daily rate of just $7, but does not offer shuttle service. The airport says the lot located next to the extended lot and is within a 10-minute walk to the moving walkway.

The cost for short-term parking at the airport has increased.

The new short term rates went into effect Monday and will mean a $4 charge for the first two hours and a maximum of $26 per day.

The previous rate was $2 for the first hour and a maximum of $16 per day.
