Pittsburgh Public Safety and Pittsburgh Park Rangers are reminding visitors that hunting is not permitted in City parks.
Officials have posted 'No Hunting' signs throughout Frick Park.
With deer and other animals "highly visible" in the park, officials are trying to protect visitors.
"There are numerous children, bicyclists, pedestrians and pets within the parks and hunting of any kind could lead to tragic results. The Departments of Public Safety and Parks and Recreation will enforce the City ordinance in an effort to protect park visitors," said Public Safety Director Wendell Hissrich.
The ordinance prohibits hunting, trapping, feeding and harvesting wildlife in City parks
Pittsburgh Park Rangers patrol and have jurisdiction over Frick Park as well as the City's other parks - Emerald View, Highland, Riverview, and Schenley.
