Pennsylvania's unemployment rate is down for the ninth month in a row.

Recent statistics from the Department of Labor and Industry show a jobless rate of 5.7-percent in November, which is down 3-10 of a percentage point from the month prior.

However, that's still more than the national average of 4.2-percent. Meantime, the state's labor force participation rate shrank to its lowest level in nearly 35 years.
