Police responded to a shooting in Mt Oliver around 2 p.m. on Tuesday.
They found a man with a gunshot wound in his back in the 300 block of Brownsville Road.
Medics transported the victim to the hospital in critical condition.
A 6-round Shotspotter alert is was alerted police.
Detectives are investigating.
