A construction worker is hospitalized after he was pinned inside an excavator that was covered with debris.
Pittsburgh Public Safety says a crew was tearing down a building on the 100 block of Chartiers Avenue, west of the city near Oakwood, when the structure partially collapsed.
It trapped the man inside the excavator, which was covered with bricks and other debris.
Pittsburgh EMS rescued the man in his 60s. He was reportedly initially unconscious but was alert when crews arrived.
He suffered head, chest and arm trauma.
He was transported to the hospital. His condition was not given.
