City leaders are responding after three Pittsburgh firefighters were suspended.
Public Safety Director Sheldon Williams addressed the suspensions during an appearance on the Big K Morning Show, saying accountability remains a priority within the bureau.
“We hold all members of Public Safety, whether they’re in administration or if they’re in the emergency services, whatever, everybody in Public Safety, we hold them to the highest levels of accountability and integrity,” said Williams.
Meanwhile, Firefighters Union president Ralph Sicuro tells KDKA Radio the union is aware of the allegations and believes each member is entitled to due process and a fair review.
He adds that, out of respect for those proceedings, the union has no further comment at this time.
