Police are investigating chase and crash that left a woman dead and a man hospitalized.
Allegheny County police say it started on Route 837. The two were in a Black Cadillac Escalade that almost hit a Duquesne Police vehicle and did run into another auto around 3:30 this morning and then fled.
Police began to chase them and the SUV almost hit two construction flaggers. The driver wound up at the Allegheny County Airport and lost l control of the vehicle.
He and his female passenger were both ejected. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital where she died and the man is in stable condition.
Allegheny County Police are asking anyone with information to call 1-833-ALL TIPS.
