Police, FBI, ATF investigate two explosions in Pittsburgh, second believed to have been firework

Pittsburgh Police, along with the FBI and the ATF, are investigating after reports that an incendiary device was thrown from a vehicle in Lawrenceville Sunday night.

According to police, the IED was reportedly thrown from a vehicle traveling along the 3600 block of Penn Avenue shortly after 9pm.

Nobody was injured when it detonated, but a parked car sustained damage.

Police are searching for a white pick-up truck in connection with the incident.

In addition, police are investigating a possible second explosion that happened around 10:30pm on Dinwiddle Street in the Hill District.

On Monday, police said residents on Dinwiddle reported feeling their homes shake as well as smelling an odor in the air.
