A popular, high-end restaurant on the North Side has closed.
40 North Restaurant and Bar on West North Avenue closed its doors for good this past Sunday afternoon.
Chef Beth Zozula confirmed the closure in a social media post.
On behalf of myself and the other former employees, I want to thank everyone for their support over the last 3 years. We loved feeding and serving you.
Known for its lamb, 40 North’s menu featured mouth-water dishes like pan fried rainbow trout, roasted chicken, grass-fed NY strip steak, soups, salads, desserts and more.
Zozula was a 2022 semifinalist for the highly-touted James Beard Chef Award.
The Post-Gazette reports 40 North is the third restaurant to operate at the location since 2017.
According to a report, the space will reopen as a different restaurant in the coming weeks.
