PITTSBURGH (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) Multiple communities north of the Pittsburgh area are experiencing extensive power outages.
Almost 13,000 people are without power in the Seven Fields, Mars, and Evans City areas.
According to FirstEnergy, the main provider in the area, power is not expected to be restored until about 5:30 p.m.
They are also waiting for dispatch to respond to the situation and do not yet have a reason for the outage.
FirstEnergy will investigate the outages.
According to the FirstEnergy website, power has started to restore in the effected areas.
