Shooting prompts large police presence in Downtown Pittsburgh

UPDATE: Pittsburgh Police say a man and a woman were shot and both are in stable condition. An investigation is ongoing.

Multiple police are on the scene of a reported shooting Downtown Pittsburgh Friday afternoon.

Pittsburgh Police are on multiple scenes on Penn Avenue after a shooting was reported near Garrison Place after 4:15 p.m.

Witness Nicole Rieder tells KDKA Radio she heard the shots fired.

"I heard the gun shots from my office on Penn Avenue," said Rieder. "One of my coworkers was by the shooter before it happened."

Pittsburgh Police are on the scene.
