'Silence of the Lambs' house in Fayette County to become bed & breakfast

In October, a Fayette County house famous for appearing in the horror movie classic, "Silence of the Lambs," went on the market.

Soon you'll be able to book an overnight stay in the house that was used as serial killer Buffalo Bill's home.

In January, a man named Chris Rowan purchased 100-year-old three story, Queen Anne style house in Perryopolis has plans to turn it into a bed and breakfast.

Rowan hopes to have the home ready for guests within the next few months.
Rowan also plans to open it up to tours and rent it out for special events, including weddings.

The New York Post says that the new owner even plans to add the hole in the basement where Buffalo Bill kept his victims, since the house doesn't actually have one. Those scenes in the movie were filmed elsewhere.

"Silence of the Lambs" turns 30 this year.

"Silence of the Lambs" tells the story of an FBI agent named Clarice Starling, played by Jodie Foster, and her quest to capture a serial killer, Buffalo Bill, played by Ted Levine. Foster's character attempts to get help from Anthony Hopkins famous character, Hannibal Lecter.

Much of the filming took place in the Pittsburgh area.

When the property was listed on the market, the agents put together a video tour noting the various rooms that were shown in the film.

CBS just recently launched a television series that revolves around the Starling character, played by Rebecca Breeds. The show airs Thursdays at 10pm.
