State Representative Eric Nelson says he's going to present his natural immunity exemption bill to Harrisburg in a couple of weeks.
He appeared on the KDKA Radio Morning Show to give his prediction on the chances it's going to pass.
"If we focus on data, absolutely we're going to be able to advance it from the house. I do anticipate resistance from the other aisle. Unfortunately, I don't know why, but it's Harrisburg and nothing is ever easy," State Rep.
Nelson said.
The state lawmaker wants to make natural immunity to COVID-19 count the same as being vaccinated to meet employer mandates.
He says that the goal of the vaccine is to create the same antibodies that someone who has recovered from the virus would create naturally.
Nelson says getting antibodies through a vaccine or natural immunity should count the same to comply with employers' guidelines and prevent people from getting fired.
