
More snow is expected to come through the Pittsburgh area on Thursday.
And, while only and inch or two is forecast, the timing could make things dangerous on the roads.
Forecasters expect the heaviest snow to start falling right around the beginning of the Thursday morning rush hour and will wrap up around 3 p.m.
That means the afternoon commute could also be trick on some roads.
The National Weather Service says that 1 to 3 inches is forecast and that a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for all of Western Pennsylvania between 4 a.m. Thursday through 4 a.m. Friday.
Parts of Westmoreland and Fayette Counties are under a Winter Storm Warning.
Allegheny County says they’ll deploy 27 salt trucks with plows when the snow begins overnight and will continue to go over routes until the snow is clear.
Officials with the County say the earlier you leave for your commute, the better.

Cold weather will continue into Thursday with a high near 30.
The Pittsburgh area get up to around 40 degrees on Saturday, but next week, another deep freeze is on the way.
On Monday, the high is expected to be around 8 degrees. Monday’s low will be -8.
