Two South Hills convenience stores held up by masked gunman overnight

The 7-Eleven/Marathon Station on Mt. Lebanon Boulevard in Castle Shannon was held up early Wednesday morning.

Police say around 3:15 a.m., a Black man wearing a mask and a dark hoodie walked into the store around with a gun and took money from people in the store, the cash register and ordered everyone into a room in the back of the building.

An hour earlier police say there was a robbery at the 7-Eleven on the 800 block of Boyce Road in South Fayette. The crimes may be connected.
