Hundreds turned out last night at Pine Richland Stadium for a vigil to remember 14-year-old Jonathan Tourney, one of two teens killed in a SUV crash near North Park over the weekend.

Jonathan's JV football teammates, friends and others gathered with Jonathan's mother to honor his memory:

“As the days go by may this family continue to feel your presence and grace, reassured that the memory of Jonathan will continue to stay alive through us all,” said Junior Same Heckert leading a prayer.

Junior Varsity assistant coach Kenny Barrett said when he thinks of Tourney, he thinks of perseverance.

“It’s because of his great work ethic and he was coachable and he put fourth effort, I know he’s been through a lot and he’s persevered,” said Barrett.

That perseverance was the death of his father, David, who died earlier this year from a brain tumor.

18-year-old Taylor Orlowski also died in the crash.

She was described as a “highly accomplished equestrian”. She won several local and national competitions.

Houdini Farms, where Orlowski trained, is also planning a way to honor her.
