The Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh is looking for information after a statue was vandalized on the North Side overnight into Friday.

Spokeswoman Jennifer Antkowiak tells KDKA Radio “a statue of our blessed mother was vandalized at St. Peter’s Church.”

St. Peter’s is located at 720 Arch Street.

Antkowiak says the statue of Mary was found damaged, without a head, on the ground by employees coming into work Friday morning.

Anyone with any information is asked to call The Diocese Director of Safety and Security, Wendell Hisrich at 412-456-3148.
