PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 100.1FM and 1020 KDKA) – Gas prices in western Pennsylvania have gone up nine cents this week, making the average gas price #3.051 per gallon, according to AAA East Central's Gas price Report.
On average, gas prices in the area are 50 cents higher than the beginning of the year.
The average western PA gas price this time last year was $2.604.
The national gas average has jumped 31 cents since last month, with every state's average gas prices climbing by double-digits since February.
