A participant in a 'Running of the Pierogies’ race during Light Up Night in Downtown Pittsburgh has filed a lawsuit, claiming she was seriously injured during the event.

Belinda Brown alleges in the lawsuit against Pittsburgh Associates, which has offices at PNC Park, that an 'unsecured wet and slippery rubber mat' was placed at the beginning of the race, causing her to lose her balance and fall.

Brown claims she suffered multiple injuries from the fall and now suffers from anxiety and depression.

She claims the incident continues to impact her physical, emotional and psychological health.

She is demanding a jury trial.
