A woman was shot in the head early Friday in Crafton Heights.
Police were sent to an apartment in the 900 block of Woodlow Street about 2 a.m.
Officers say the 27-year-old woman was transported to Allegheny General in critical condition.
They say she was shot during a domestic dispute.
The accused gunman barricaded himself in a nearby apartment and SWAT officers were called to the scene.
He surrendered a few minutes after 5 a.m.
