
Pittsburgh, Pa. – Sept. 23, 2024 – This past Friday, we reached the halfway mark of the WPIAL football season, which means the 2024 WPIAL football playoffs will begin in just over a month.
The anticipation and excitement of learning the opponents, the wonderment of how the brackets will take shape, and even, the debate of seeding is all part of the magic of Western Pennsylvania football.
Now, that anticipation, excitement, and wonder culminate at an exclusive destination: KDKA Radio.
As the flagship station of the WPIAL, KDKA Radio is pleased to announce the WPIAL/KDKA Selection Saturday Show.
On Saturday, Oct. 26 from 1:00-3:00 p.m., KDKA Radio’s audio and video platforms will be the exclusive destination for schools, their respective communities, and fan bases to learn of their postseason destinations. Playoff pairings, seedings, locations, and game times will be revealed on the KDKA Radio platforms.

KDKA Radio play-by-play broadcaster Dan Zangrilli will serve as co-host of the program with longtime Pittsburgh Post-Gazette high school sports editor Mike White.
