While some are expressing safety concerns during Light Up Night in Downtown Pittsburgh tomorrow, Paul Zeise said during his show Friday that he believes Pittsburgh Public Safety will do a good job and the annual holiday celebration will go on without a hitch.

With that said, don’t expect Zeise to do among those celebrating.

Saying that maybe he is a curmudgeon, Paul won’t be anywhere near downtown for all the lights and holiday cheer.

Around this time each year, the famous rant from Zeise on the KDKA-TV Nightly Sports Call pops up on social media.

“Light Up Night is like . . . it’s amateur hour with all these people that never drive downtown, but we got 15,000 of them out there, cars are bumper to bumper, they can’t go anywhere, we got half the streets are closed, go sit upside Mount Washington, take a picture of the light and go home, how about that,” said Zeise during his famous rant a few years back with Richie Walsh.

Zeise forgot it was Light Up Night that day and just went off.
