A sold out drag event in Zelienople is upsetting some people.
Burghers Taproom is hosting the Burgh’ers Babes Drag Brunch on Sunday May 21.
The event is hosted by Lune Skye and Indi Skies.
The event is 18 and older but is still receiving hateful comments online from some.
In response, Burghers says they are also hosting a “Rainbow Lawn Boogie” after “receiving an overwhelming amount of love, support and request to expand this event.”
The taproom is opening up it’s outdoor area “to show up against the hate our business and staff have received for hosting our main event,” Burghers said on Facebook.
“Our business is a safe and inclusive space for all to be who they are. We don’t hide from hate and neither should you,” they add.
Seating for the indoor event begins at noon with they show at 12:45 p.m.
The outdoor celebration is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
