WASHINGTON (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) — President Joe Biden didn't take long to kick off his tenure, but the newly inaugurated president made a flurry of moves on his first day in the Oval Office.
Among a barrage of other first-day executive orders, Biden revoked the permit for the Keystone XL pipeline.
And U.S. Senator Pat Toomey shared his thoughts on the move.
Toomey didn't have much praise for the executive order.
"The Keystone XL pipeline was approved by bipartisan majorities in both chambers of Congress in 2015. Revoking the Presidential Permit for the pipeline is bad economic policy, costs American jobs, and, as one of President Biden's first actions, runs counter to his stated goal of building bipartisan consensus early on in his administration."
