Former President Donald Trump had some harsh words for his opponents and the country while speaking at an event in Florida over the weekend.
Trump’s speech at the Turning Point Action Conference went nearly two hours as he touched on several topics, including the criticism of President Joe Biden and how he runs the country.
“Millions of illegal aliens have stormed across our borders. It is an invasion, like a military invasion. Our rights and liberties are being torn to shreds,” Trump said. “Your country is being turned into a third-world hellhole, run by censors, perverts, criminals, and thugs.”
He continued, saying to those present that their generation had the most to risk in the upcoming election, as it would determine the world they would live in.
“The election will decide whether your generation will inherit a fascist country or a free country, “ Trump said.
Trump went on to discuss the ongoing investigations against him for his handling of documents and his efforts to overturn the 2020 election. He said that the federal charges that alleged he mishandled classified documents were “bull----.”
“Every time the radical left Democrats indict me, I consider it to be a great badge of honor and courage,” he said. “I am doing it for you. I am being indicted for you.”
Among other claims he made was that the American dream was “dead” under Biden and that the US wouldn’t be facing challenges from foreign adversaries if he was in office.
“If you have the right leadership, China is not a problem. If you have the right leadership, Russia would not be a problem,” he said. “They would not have done what they did. Believe me. They would never have done it.”
But foreign threats weren’t the only dangers Trump discussed, as he also said the US was facing an “inside” threat from Biden and his unseen “sick, sinister, and evil forces.”
A straw poll was conducted at the conference, asking attendees who their top choice for president was.
“Just heard that I (WE!) won the big Turning Point Straw Poll in a BLOWOUT, getting 85.7% of the Vote,” Trump posted on his social media site Truth Social.
Trump was the number one answer, with 85% of the attendees naming him, followed by Michigan businessman Perry Johnson (7.8%), Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (4.3%), and Vivek Ramaswamy (2%).
“Ron DeSanctimonious came in a solid 3rd with 4.3%, Vivek got 2%, and Sloppy Chris Christie, as usual, got a big, fat, ZERO!” Trump said in his post. “Turning Point put on a GREAT event in West Palm Beach, setting all kinds of records, including in attendance!”
