Lawmaker wants to allow doorless driving in PA

It is currently illegal to drive without doors on Pennsylvania roads, except for off-roading.

But some state lawmakers are trying to change that.

A Pennsylvania bill to allow certain SUV drivers to take the doors off their vehicles now moves on to the House for consideration.

Senator Devlin Robinson proposed Senate Bill 298 that would allow doorless driving for vehicles like Jeeps and Broncos.

It passed in the Senate Tuesday. Similar proposals have become law in all other states.

However, under those laws, drivers are still required to have side view mirrors and seatbelt protections.
