Schools across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania are either back in session or will be soon as summer winds to an end.
A big point of controversy across the country, however, has been mandating masks to be worn by all students and faculty.

In Pennsylvania alone, Gov. Tom Wolf originally said he was going to leave it up to each school district to make a decision on mask mandates.
It was reported Wednesday that Wolf had written a letter to legislators asking them to pass a statewide mask mandated within schools.
According to the Associated Press, Wolf sent the letter to Senate President Pro Tempore Jake Corman (R-Centre) and House Speaker Bryan Culter (R-Lancaster).
Thursday, it was announced that top PA republicans have rejected Wolf’s request and aim to leave the mandate decisions up to the districts.
As of July, it was reported that only 59 of the 474 school districts in Pennsylvania planned to mandate masks.
