The Steelers newest punter drafted in the 7th round Pressley Harvin III is a beast in the weight room…but he’s still a punter.

In a video shared by The Fan Morning Show, Harvin can be seen doing three squats of what appears to be around 545 lbs.

The 6 foot 255 pound Harvin was picked 254th overall on Saturday out of Georgia Tech.

In his four-year career Harvin has played in 44 games recording longest punts of 70 in both 2019 and 2020. He averaged 44.7 yards a punt last season.

So Harvin is a beat in the weight room, has accomplished a lot both on the field and in the classroom, but the questions remains, should you ever draft a punter?

Chris Mack says since they did draft him, they need to make him the starting punter today and say goodbye to Jordan Berry and keep Harvin around for the next 8-9 seasons.

Berry was less than stellar for the Steelers last season.
His longest punt was 62 yards and he has a career average of 44.4 yards. The Melbourne, Australia native has played all six of his seasons in Pittsburgh.

Colin Dunlap says he doesn’t hate the move as long as they had information that someone else was going to draft him. He also could come cheaper as a draft pick than if he was undrafted and they got into a bidding war with another team.

Many fans may be against drafting a punter, but the moment Harvin tackles and opposing player at Heinz Field, the crowd will go nuts and you’ll see a few people with Harvin jerseys.
