Pitt's superstar quarterback continues to cement his lasting legacy at Pitt with even more accolades.
Kenny Pickett has been named the ACC's overall Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year for 2021.
Pickett was the clear choice for both, getting 52 of the 64 possible votes for Player of the Year and 54 for Offensive Player of the Year.
Pickett's dominance on the field was evident, throwing for 4,066 yards in the regular season with 40 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He completed 67.7 percent of this passes going 314 of 464 through 12 games.
Only Jameis Winston and Deshaun Watson have also thrown for 4,000 yards and 40 touchdowns in ACC history, making Pickett the third to do so.
Pickett is the first player to receive both awards since James Conner in 2014 for Pitt.
Pickett is the driving force behind the Panthers getting their first 10-win season in 40 years and claiming a second ACC Costal Division Championship.
But it isn't over for Pickett and the Panthers, they take on Wake Forest this Saturday in the Sunday ACC Football Championship Game at 8 p.m. An ACC Championship victory would also likely give the Panthers a prominent New Year's Day bowl game.
And that isn't all for Pickett, on top of the other awards he is under consideration for and up for, he is receiving plenty of Heisman Trophy buzz.
