The Pirates have made several roster moves ahead of the final game against the Marlins in Miami.
Pittsburgh has placed catcher and first baseman Endy Rodriguez on the 10-day injured list with left hip inflammation. That is retroactive to this past Monday.
This is the second time Rodriguez has gone on the IL this season. He missed 15 games when he was inured with a left-glute strain on July 8.
Infielder Jack Brannigan has been recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis. It will be his third stint with the Bucs.
The Pirates have also recalled right-hand reliever Isaac Mattson from Triple-A.
To make room on the roster, the Pirates have optioned left-handed pitcher Evan Sisk to Indy.
The Pirates have gone 2-8 in their past ten, falling out of the Wild Card race.
