The Pirates first overall draft pick in 2021, Henry Davis is making his Major League debut on Monday night against the Cubs.
He’ll start in right field and bat seventh.
But before he plays at PNC Park, he had to be told he was making the trip to Pittsburgh.
Davis’ manager in Triple-A Indianapolis, Miguel Perez was sitting with him looking at video when he asked Davis for a bottle of water.
He pointed to the water next to him and under the water was a note, “Welcome to the show.”
Davis put his head down after reading the message.
Perez shook Davis’ hand and gave him a hug as the video ends.
