Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers says he’s feeling better, compared to Sunday, after fracturing his non-throwing, left wrist on Sunday.
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Rodgers said the decision on whether he plays or not won’t come down to pain tolerance, but “safety”.
So, what does he have to do to play on Sunday?
“Gotta get the OK and gotta feel like I can protect myself,” said Rodgers.
The four-time MVP says he worked on rehabilitation on Wednesday and is hoping to get back on the field for practice on Thursday.
Head Coach Mike Tomlin said on Tuesday that they were working on getting Rodgers the best brace possible for him to be able to play.
Speaking to reporters, Rodgers said “we’re working through that” when it comes to working through a wrist brace.
Rodgers also doesn’t know when there will be any clarity about playing or not, telling reporters he’ll leave that decision “up to Mr. Coach Tomlin.”
If Rodgers doesn’t play in Chicago, Mason Rudolph will start against the Bears.
