The Steelers are reportedly interviewing a former quarterback and coach under Mike McCarthy for their open offensive coordinator position.
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports the Steelers have told the New Orleans Saints “that they plan to interview assistant Scott Tolzien for offensive coordinator, per sources.
Tolzien is currently the Saints quarterbacks coach.
Tolzien was signed to the Green Bay Packers practice squad in 2013 and after Aaron Rodgers suffered an injured, was put on the 53-man roster.
He appeared in six games for the Packers over two seasons, starting two games.
Tolzien was hired by McCarthy as a coaching assistant in 2020 and promoted to quarterbacks coach in 2023.
His contract was not reupped after the 2025 season. He was then hired by the Saints as their QBs coach.
The Steelers also reportedly have hired their offensive line coach.
CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz is reporting James Campen, an ex O-lineman will be the Steelers new O-line coach.
Campen was McCarthy’s offensive line coach in Green Bay for 11 seasons.
