The boy's passenger, another male juvenile, had exited the vehicle under his own power and was located at the scene and taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Connell said.
The occupants of the other vehicle -- a 39-year-woman, a boy and a girl -- were all hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, he added.
Placentia police urged anyone with information regarding the crash to call them at 714-993-8157.
