A spokesperson for the medical examiner’s office said Tyndall’s cause of death was deferred, which means a cause of death has not been determined.

A friend found Tyndall dead inside his home on October 4. During their initial investigation, the medical examiner’s office said there had been a history of natural diseases, and that there was no suspicious circumstance for foul play surrounding his death.

At the time of his death, Tyndall was awaiting trial on 18 felonies related to 16 former patients.

Following his death, his accusers demanded an autopsy be performed.
