In the midst of the Coronavirus and people sheltering in place, more people continue to buy on-line which is causing a surge of package volume to be delivered. E-commerce is booming and because of this, the FedEx sorting facility in Bloomington is looking to hire.
FedEx Ground is planning to hire 1,600 package handlers to keep up with the growth.
“We’ve seen a surge in package volume. It started with the pandemic. People feel more comfortable ordering things online now,” FedEx spokeswoman Allie Addoms said.
