Clare Dunn Adopts Special Needs Dog from Jurupa Valley Animal Shelter

There's a furry new family member in Clare Dunn's clan, and the pooch originates from the Inland Empire!

"I found Connor online, and this dog just spoke to me," the Nashville-based singer-songwriter recalled in a video posted by Riverside County Animal Services.

"Honestly, I was trying to help the dog get rescued in this area, and I couldn't find anyone to help or anyone who was interested, and this dog just broke my heart."

The shelter explained that part of the challenge in finding Connor a home was that he some medical issues and is considered a "special needs animal." "He was in a red alert," continued Clare, who performed at Boots in the Park at SilverLakes in Norco in March. "So when I was finally at my wit's end of trying to help the dog find a home in this area, I just decided, 'Well, if no one will, I will, and I booked a flight and a car, and the rest is history.

"I appreciate everyone here at Riverside for helping me because you guys really have saved the dog."
