If you look closely at Justin Moore's merch, you might notice a theme: a rooster. That's the logo for the name of his music business, Rebel Rooster, which was inspired by his first single (which was co-written by Randy Houser).
"Our first single was 'Back That Thing Up,' and it had a rooster crowing at the beginning," Justin explains in a statement from his label. "You always try to come up with a logo, and I thought, well, we'll make the rooster the logo.
"So, it's been on like all the CDs and on every piece of merchandise we have, and all that, and we named it Rebel. I have a little statue kinda deal of a rooster that has been on every one of my buses. We mount it inside every bus, so I just named my company Rebel Rooster.
All of this happened, obviously, very early in his career, and also inspired the name of his band, Double Barrel Ace. "We looked up what the meanest fighting cock was, what they called him, and it was called a double barrel ace. So that's where the name of my band came from.
"So, the whole thing just revolved around this rooster that we call Rebel."
