MissionFest is back in 2021, taking place on Saturday July 10th, headlined by country music artists Midland. Tickets will go on sale Friday May 21st @ 10am at MissionFest.com and Eventbrite.com.
Midland’s rich style and sound is rooted in tradition. Their platinum certified chart-topping debut “Drinkin’ Problem” earned the band their first GRAMMY Awards nomination for best Country Song and Best Country Duo/Group Performance. Midland was also named New Vocal Group of the Year at the 2018 ACM Awards and was nominated for Vocal Group of the Year at the 2020 CMA Awards.
MissionFest also features Devin Dawson, a country singer and songwriter with a keen ear for clever turns of phrase and a knack for splitting the difference between rootsy and contemporary.
A native of Orangevale, California, Dawson spent his formative years soaking in the sounds of Creedence Clearwater Revival, Alan Jackson, Marvin Gaye, and Johnny Cash.
The strong lineup continues with The White Buffalo. The White Buffalo is Jake Smith – singer, songwriter, guitarist, teller of stories, Emmy nominee; an artist whose voice – a timber-shakin’ baritone of gravitas and gravel – seems directly linked to a greater truth; an artist who will not be swayed by fashion or curtailed by genre.
Rounding out the bill are rising stars Daring Greatly and local staple, The James Kelly Band.
The return of MissionFest also signals the grand opening of The OutPost, located at Rancho Mission Viejo Riding Park in San Juan Capistrano. The OutPost now adds a live entertainment venue to one of America’s premier equestrian parks. The OutPost will showcase a diverse calendar of entertainment including top national touring artists, comedians, sporting events, and SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO corporate functions, all outdoors under the stars nestled up against the San Juan Hills and cradled between the Ortega Mountain Range and the Pacific Ocean.
Mission Fest 2021 will take place on July 10, 2021. The event will also feature fine wines, great local cuisine, unique vendors and an array of outdoor activities in the plush equestrian grounds.
