7. Barbra Streisand ($430 million)
With a career spanning more than six decades, Barbra Streisand has reigned victorious in multiple entertainment fields. Streisand is the only act in history to obtain a #1 album across six consecutive decades and is one of the few performers to be awarded an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony. Her success is still going strong as she released a new album, Live at the Bon Soir, in November 2022. The project features her earliest live recordings from 1962 that were intended to make up her debut solo record.

2. Taylor Swift ($740 million)
No surprise Taylor Swift has made it to this list, although some may have thought she’d be in the #1 spot. While clearly raking in millions on her current Eras tour, Taylor has also brought in a large part of her worth through previous releases, and re-recording them to regain ownership. Her most recent album, Midnights, which arrived in October 2022, earned Swift the title of the first artist in history to claim the top ten spots on the Billboard Hot 100 song list. Takes a lot to top Taylor, but turns out there’s one other mega-star who did…

1. Rihanna ($1.4 billion)
Did you guess correctly? Rihanna’s number one, baby, making her the wealthiest female musician to date! And it really shouldn’t come as a surprise. She got her start making music, obviously, but with her stepping into the beauty and clothing lanes, with Fenty Beauty, Fenty Skin and Savage X Fenty, the rise to number one was inevitable! TIME listed Fenty Beauty as one of “The Best Inventions of 2017,” as the launch of her brand single-handedly changed the game by offering a wide range of 40 foundation shades, changing the image of what diversity and inclusivity looks like in the makeup industry.
