
Metallica is piling on with more exclusive merch in celebration of their Black Album 30th anniversary.
Along with a special new whiskey serenaded by their 1991 self-titled classic, and a jam packed, remastered re-release that includes a covers album featuring 50+ artists from all genres – they’ve just announced a collaboration with Vans offering two limited-edition designs of their classic kicks.

Vans teamed up with Metallica on the limited-edition versions of the brand's 'Sk8-Hi' and 'Classic Slip-On' featuring artwork designed by famed artist Pushead (Brian Schroeder), who has been working with the band on their unique merchandise and stage designs since the late eighties.
The new Vans x Metallica collection, with the iconic “Sad But True” design, will be available to Vans Family members beginning July 25 at 9PM PT as well as on Metallica.com starting July 26 at 9AM PT. For more information, visit vans.com/news.
This is certainly not the first time 'Tallica has been on a pair of Vans -- hypebeast fans have had the opportunity to pick up official Kill 'Em All, St. Anger, and Hard Wired... To Self-Destruct limited-edition sneaks in the past, but this is without a doubt the premiere of this iconic artwork.
Hitting shelves on September 10, the re-issue of Metallica's Black Album features a massive covers album including 50+ artists taking on all twelve tracks from the record, some of which are already available to hear. Check out J Balvin and Jon Pardi's versions of "Wherever I May Roam" and be on the lookout for more surprises as release day approaches.
