If anyone could pick out a beach house background on Zoom, it would be the guys in Country band Old Dominion.
Checking in with RADIO.COM's Katie Neal backstage ahead of the 2020 CMA awards ceremony the band admits that things are quite different than what Katie is likely experiencing at the beach.
After begging her to give them a glimpse of the outside world behind the shades, singer Matthew Ramsey shows of some of his personal protective equipment and admits, "we could do without all of this stuff and getting probed in our nose... We miss just being able to walk in the door and see all your friends and give them hugs. But we are looking forward to performing..."
This year's 54th annual CMA Awards will air live on ABC on November 11, broadcast from Music City Center in Nashville, TN featuring tons of tributes and performances from the genre's biggest stars.

One of the tributes will be from OD, who will give us their version of the classic Johnny Lee Country song “Looking for Love” in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the film, Urban Cowboy.
This years CMAs are one of the first in a series of award shows already past that will include a limited live audience, something the band is definitely looking forward to. "It'll be nice to hear some applause after you play a song... hopefully. I'll take boos at this point," Ramsey laughed.
Also nominated for Vocal Group of the Year and Album of the Year at this year's ceremony, guitarist Trevor Rosen admits getting the nod for the best group category always feels good (they're two-time winners in that category), but it's the recognition of their latest album that feels different.
"It just felt like a step up," he says. "It felt like we'd reached another rung on the ladder of our career. So just to be nominated in that category is pretty amazing."
