Saturday's Mizzou Basketball Game Postponed, Team Unable to Leave Columbia

The University of Missouri will have to reschedule its mens basketball game at South Carolina, orignially scheduled for Saturday at noon. It is now tentativley scheduled for noon on Sunday.

The team released a statement, Friday afternoon as a major snow storm has hit Missouri and much of the Midwest. 

"Due to weather related travel issues, tomorrow's contest scheduled for 12 p.m. CT/1 p.m. ET is postponed. Both Mizzou and South Carolina are in communication with the Southeastern Conference office on rescheduling and updates will be released when they are available."

KOMU-TV reported a plane landing at the Columbia airport around 3:30 p.m. – where Mizzou was scheuduled to depart, Friday – slid off the runway during its landing. There were no injuries reported to the 80 passengers on that flight. A bus drove out to pickup the passengers from the plane which was stuck.

Nearly 100 flights at St. Louis Lambert International Airport were also canceled on Friday and at least a dozen more on Saturday have been canceled, according to FlightAware
