ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The St. Louis Blues will be wearing a No. 5 sticker on their helmets for tonight's game and undoubtedly for the rest of the season in honor of the late Bobby Plager.

The former Blues defenseman, coach and ambassador died on Wednesday in a car accident on a St. Louis highway.

The team unveiled the blue and yellow helmet sticker on social media, ahead of Thursday's game against the 7 p.m. game against the Minnesota Wild.

Plager, 78, was an icon in the St. Louis community and the team had their first chance on Thursday to give public comments about what he meant to them:
