A teen is dead following a crash Wednesday afternoon at 9th and Tyler in west Wichita.
Investigators say speed was likely a factor in the accident when a car hit a dip in the road and went airborne. The car then crashed into two trucks.
A girl, 14, who was a passenger in the car, died at the scene. The drivers of all three vehicles suffered injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.

Wichita Police Department (WPD) has identified the victim of a fatal accident Wednesday as 14-year-old Aryana Lay of Wichita. At approximately 11:40 a.m., officers responded to an injury accident in the 1000 block of North Tyler Road. Upon arrival, officers located Lay trapped in a red Pontiac G6. Fire and EMS attempted life-saving measures, but Lay was pronounced dead on the scene. The investigation revealed that Lay's 38-year-old father was driving south on Tyler in a red Pontiac G6 at a high rate of speed. He lost control of the vehicle and spun into a green Ford F-150, driven by a 41-year- male and a black Ford F-150, driven by a 65-year-old male. Both vehicles were traveling north on Tyler. The 38-year-old driver of the Pontiac was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. The other two drivers were not seriously injured.
